Make Ty Blawd your special place. A most romantic rural retreat for two, located on the rugged cliffs of Strumble Head with an abundance of luxury, style and through the large picture window in the first floor living-room are spectacular, never-ending sea views, which draws the ever-changing ocean and huge skies in. Surrounded by the dramatic north Pembrokeshire coastline, spot the seals which visit the craggy bays surrounding the cottage or discover the nearby coastal path. Although there's much to do and see in the area, you'll want to spend time and enjoy this darling retreat.

Accessed either on the ground floor or via the stone steps on the side, a heavenly holiday awaits. The 'upside down' barn conversion has been renovated to the highest standard with quality fixtures and furnishings. On the ground floor sits the stylish, contemporary king-size bedroom, a gorgeous room with television, comfortable bed and Welsh woollen cushions and throws. Along the hallway is the luxurious bathroom. Soak in the free-standing bath with not a care in the world after a day in the sea air or take a soothing hot shower in the wet-room style shower.

Up on the first floor, enjoy precious time together in the warm glow of the heavenly wood-burner. Watch your favourite movies on the wall-mounted television or just soak up the vista, doing blissfully nothing. The kitchen has it all for some tasty meals, having a tower mounted oven, dishwasher and a washing machine. The idyllic table for two takes in the enchanting views.

Climb down the oak staircase when night falls to stargaze in the moon light. Garn Fawr Rock behind the cottage is a Dark Sky Discovery Site. Throughout the year, sunsets are spectacular and a perfect way to end the perfect day. Spend time in the outside seating area taking in the magnificence of the surroundings. The corbelled hut dates back to the medieval period.

Ty Blawd is one of three properties located on the farm. The other two are Swn y Morloi Cottage (5657) and Tal y Gaer (5656). Each cottage has been built with complete regard for privacy and although on a beef farm you really would not be aware of this.

In the springtime the cliffs and Garn Fawr Rock behind are covered with wildflowers, choughs and peregrines. On a clear day the magnificent far-reaching views can stretch to the mountains of Wicklow.

Some of Pembrokeshire's spectacular beaches are very nearby, Abermawr, Aberbach, Goodwick Parrog, Cwm yr Eglwys and along the coast to Pwllgwaelod and Newport. Try paddleboarding at Goodwick or Lower Fishguard. Goodwick has a sandy beach, supermarket, eateries, fish and chip shops and a great walk out along the breakwater.

In the historic town of Fishguard, which hosts international music festivals throughout the year, wander the array of shops, galleries and antiques shops, taking lunch at The Royal Oak or dinner in the JT Abergwaun Hotel. Drive or walk to enchanting Lower Fishguard, try a coffee in the cafe on the quay. Melin Tregwynt, a working Welsh woollen mill, is nearby. Browse the tasteful Welsh goods or take tea in the cafe. The mystical, vibrant small city is worth a visit and the magnificent cathedral is usually open to visitors from Monday to Saturday. Delicious Mamgu Welsh cakes are served in the cathedral cafe.

For day trips, the colourful seaside town of Tenby is in the south, or in the opposite direction why not take a dolphin spotting boat trip from New Quay near Cardigan.

Regardless of the season, impeccable and beautifully renovated Ty Blawd, set in such a spectacular area, offers the perfect peaceful retreat, from endless sunny beach days to bracing clifftop and beach walks stopping in country pubs for hearty lunches near roaring log-burners.
